New Delhi: Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal has said that in his view no PAC report exists. Speaking to CNN-IBN's Karan Thapar exclusively, Sibal said that Dr Murli Manohar Joshi and the 11 members of PAC had stated that the meeting of the PAC on the April 27 was adjourned without a conclusion being reached.
Kapil Sibal: The Chairman himself has made a public statement and that's what the other members have said, that he says, he adjourned the proceedings, so obviously for a report to be adopted, it either has to be adopted unanimously or by majority. According to the Chairman and the members in any case, it was not adopted by majority, so there is no report.
Karan Thapar: Dr Joshi's people are saying that there was no real reason - Not to adopt the report.
Kapil Sibal: Let's assume that - if there is no decision not to adopt, is that a decision to adopt?
Karan Thapar:So you are saying that this report has no official status and standing?
Kapil Sibal: Cannot have, because at 11 'o clock in the morning, 11 of the members submitted letters to him to the effect that this report stands objected, rejected.
