Srinagar: There's been absolutely no reprieve from the cold conditions that has been witnessed since last one week in Srinagar when it snowed heavily.

The minimum dropped to minus 7 degrees Celsius on Saturday and the Dal Lake remains frozen. The temperatures across the Kashmir Valley dropped further on Friday.

Kargil town recorded a minimum of minus 19.6 degrees becoming the coldest place of the region this season and Leh was at a low of minus 18.2 degrees while Gulmarg settled at a low of minus 16.5 degrees.

Also the port men especially those who want to come to the shores really having a difficult time.

Kashmir is facing many concerns including taps running dry over the last 4 to 5 days, also, heavy electric curtailments that have taken place literally pushing some of the villages especially those which are closed to the Pir Panjar having literally fallen off the map.
