Mumbai: The Bhatt camp is all smiles with Raaz-The Mystery Continues positioning itself as the first biggest hit of 2009. And riding high on its success director Mohit Suri who has already planned the third installment of the film.
The film has reportedly raked in Rs 15.8 crores at the Box-Office within three days - making it this year's first big hit.
"I am ecstatic, it still hasn't sunk in," said Suri.
For Bhatt camp's lucky mascot Emraan Hashmi, this film was also a good break from his cliched on screen image.
"I had become a caricature of myself, the same old same casanova image. So this was a different role," said Hashmi.
Some of the buzz generated by the film was also thanks to actors Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman, whose off screen love story made news every other day. So much so, that there was a point when the couple had apparently refused to promote the film.
"I had started feeling insecure, it's a pure thing for us. I didn't want to talk about my personal life," said Kangana.
"It used to effect me initially, but then I used to say let my film come out then everyone will see," said Adhyayan.
But all's well that ends well, and for Mohit it's time for a third edition of Raaz. "I have the idea, but it needs to be approved," he said.
And Emraan claims the director can't make the third edition without casting him as he said, "He cant make Raaz 3 without me."
"I don't think I want to do a horror film in the next five years, I don't want kids to be scared of me," said Kangana.
Well, looks like the Bhatts will have to recreate the success of Raaz 2 without their favourite actress this time round.
