New Delhi: It's admission time yet again at the Delhi University.

However, with cut-off percentages skyrocketing to obscene levels, the dilemma that many students face is whether it’s possible to imagine a life beyond Delhi University.

The situation for students has moved beyond the classic dilemma of having to choose between course and college. It’s now reached a level where even the high-scorers are being forced to do a rethink on DU.

Other universities in the Capital are cashing in on the wave. Indraprastha University (IP) and Jamia Millia Islamia, traditionally considered a second option, are fast witnessing an increase in applicants.

Indraprastha University offers 52 courses and has six universities affiliated to it. The most popular courses among the students opting for the varsity are are law, management and journalism.

Jamia Milia Islamia University has also seen a rise in students applying to it and basically specialises in professional courses. It also offers bachelors degree in science and arts.
