Patna: They say marriages are made in heaven. But for a couple in Bihar's Gaya that’s hardly true.
Newly weds Naval and Renu boast the rare distinction of tying the knot in a hospital. The couple decided on this medical matrimony, after armed robbers raided their originally planned wedding ceremony.
“They took the groom's wallet and watch and beat him up,” says Naval’s friend, Manoj Kumar.
Naval was badly injured in the attack and was admitted to AN Medical College for treatment. But that didn’t stop the couple from going ahead with the wedding.
“It is commendable. He got married with a broken leg,” says Renu’s uncle, Haridwar Narayan.
So while it wasn’t a picture-perfect wedding, but Renu and Naval did manage to bring smiles to faces of other patients in the hospital.
