New Delhi: The murders of Noida girl Arushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj remain a mystery 30 days after the killings.
A team of CBI officials and forensic experts on Saturday conducted a search at the residence of Dr Rajesh Talwar, who is accused of the murders.
The CBI's hopes of nailing the murderer depend heavily on finding the weapon used in the crime. CBI officials checked water tanks, pipes and taps at the Talwar residence but failed to find the weapon.
The CBI also went to the house of Durranis, who are famliy friends of the Talwars. Their servant Raj Kumar was questioned for a second consecutive day. The CBI’s investigation on Saturday were a direct result of the narco-analysis test on Krishna, the assistant of Dr Talwar and who was arrested on Friday.
Krishna was presented before a CBI court in Ghaziabad, where he broke and claimed his was being framed. The CBI pleaded that Krishna be put on 14 days remand but the court allowed permission for three days.
Krishna's family and lawyer have been vehemently denying he has anything to do with the crime.
Sources in the CBI say Dr Talwar will undergo a psychological-analysis, test which will be conducted by the same doctor who conducted scientific tests on Krishna. Though the agency would have preferred a narco-analysis of the doctor, his health condition doesn't permit it.
