Noida: Two days after an engineer was found dead in a Noida stadium under mysterious circumstances, the police are still clueless as to whether it was a suicide or murder. Engineers India Limited employee, Shashank Yadav, 28, was found dead in a Noida stadium restroom two days ago.

The police have registered a case of murder on the insistence of his family. But his autopsy indicates death due to hanging. Reports say the CBI was probing Shashank in connection with fraud in the award of projects worth Rs 2,000 crore to a Turkish company based on a fake certificate.

Reports say several key documents pertaining to the case were found with Shashank's body. His family claims Shashank was helping the CBI crack the case and he was made a scapegoat.

Shashank Yadav, resident of Kanpur, was working in Engineering India Limited, Delhi, and living at sector 12 in a rented accommodation, police said.

Police investigation revealed he was depressed over some inquiry against him. His office had complained to CBI against some contractor and the agency was calling the deceased engineer for questioning, causing him stress.
