New Delhi: Noida SSP R K S Rathore, who was removed from the post and shifted to Lucknow on Saturday for his role in the Nithari serial killings, says he is bound by government orders and refused to comment on the transfer.

"As far as I am concerned, I have diligently performed my duties. The CBI is now investigating the matter and I will welcome their findings. I am bound by government orders and will serve wherever I am sent," Rathore said after his transfer to Lucknow was announced. SSP Kumbh Mela Rajiv Sabharwal would replace Rathore.

Rathore, however, refused to comment on the investigation into the case. "I would not like to comment on the investigation as the case is now with the CBI," he said.

Ironically, Rathore got support from families of the victims, who protested the transfer saying he had been a big help to them.

The state government also suspended Dinesh Yadav for his links with Mohinder Singh Pandher, the prime accused in the case. Yadav was the Circle Officer of Nithari when killings took place.

Rathore was removed from the post and shifted to Lucknow while Dinesh Yadav, Circle Officer in Nithari, was suspended.

The case came into light when human remains, including body parts and skulls, mostly of children, were found in the backyard and drain of Pandher's house.
