Click to play videoNoida: When 14-year-old Arushi Talwar was found dead on morning of May 16, little did anyone know that the police would arrest own father Dr Rajesh Talwar - a dentist at Fortis Hospital with an impeccable reputation among patients.
Talwar's wife Nupur is also a dentist with the same hospital. The Talwar's also ran their clinic in Noida's Sector 27.
Dr Anita Durrani a colleague of Dr Rajesh Talwar also worked at the same clinic and police say they were having an extra-marital affair, much to Arushi's dislike.
According to the police, Dr Rajesh's anger was fuelled by the fact that his servants including Hemraj also knew of his affair.
They also claimed that Hemraj had earlier told his friends that there was a threat to his life.
The police conjectured that in a disturbed family, the daughter had no one to turn to and in fact the only person whom she could share her problems with was 45-year-old Hemraj and this was what brought the two close to each other.
Police say this was something that Dr Rajesh Talwar could not tolerate and so when he returned home on the night of May 15, he couldn't take in what he saw.
Arushi and Hemraj were, according to the police, talking with each other and Dr Talwar decided to eliminate both. First Hemraj was killed and then Arushi.
But where was Dr Nupur Talwar when all this happened especially when Arushi's room was just four to five feet away from her parents'.
Two murders took place in the same house in the night and that too within an hour. Surely it's Dr Nupur Talwar's role in the entire case that the police must now look into.
