MYSORE: As the countdown started for MLC polls, supporters of both Congress and JD(S) leaders took out a rally from the meeting spot to the regional commissioner’s office where the nomination papers were filed by Marithibbegowda of JD(S) and M Lakshman of Congress on Wednesday afternoon. In view of this, the traffic on Vinobha Road came to a stand still for about half-an-hour.
Marithibbegowda told media persons before filing nomination papers that he cannot go and meet each voter in the four districts, which includes 32 assembly constituencies in 4 parliamentary constituencies directly. “Hence, my record of achievements will be sent to voters,” he said.
