New Delhi: With the monsoon yet to keep its date, denizens continued to reel under the scorching heat on Saturday with the minimum temperature settling five to six notches above average in Punjab and Haryana.
Its not just Punjab and Haryana but the deserts of Rajasthan are also baking in the heat. Churu district was the hottest in the state, experiencing a high of 45 degree celsius on Saturday. Sriganganagar was at 44 degrees. Jaipur, Kota and Barmer recorded an average of 42 degree celsius.
Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan are face acute water and power crisis.
