New Delhi: The wives of the policemen who died fighting terrorists on 26/11 met Sonia Gandhi on Monday and put forward some demands.
CNN-IBN spoke to Kavita Karkare, the wife of slain Mumbai top cop Hemant Karkare.
CNN-IBN: It’s been one year now to 26/11, what do you have to say about the state of investigations?
Kavita Karkare: I am not happy about the investigations, because they are still going on. I don't know when will we get justice.
CNN-IBN: You had also filed an RTI to find out about Mr Karkare's jacket, you were told that it has been lost, what do you have to say about that?
Kavita Karkare: I am very surprised that the jacket is lost because it was an essential part of evidence. Our security system is completely neglected and that’s why 26/11 happened, I don't know when will it change, whether its going to change or not.
CNN-IBN: On a personal level what do you think that all those things promised to you after Mr Karkare's death have been delivered?
Kavita Karkare: Yes, the state government has given most of the things promised have been delivered, yes.
