New Delhi: Well known cinematographer Ashok Mehta passed away today, he was suffering from lung cancer and was in and out of hospital since February. The man was known for his outstanding camera work in films such as 'Bandit Queen' and 'Gaja Gamini'.
Several Bollywood celebrities have mourned the death of Ashok Mehta. Shekhar Kapur tweets, "RIP Ashok Mehta. With Respect Love Admiration Regret n Pain."
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar says, "Sad to hear about demise of the Cinematographer Ashok Mehta who changed the vision of Indian Cinema RIP !!!"

Ashok Mehta was known for his outstanding camera work in films such as \'Bandit Queen\' and \'Gaja Gamini\'.
Film actress Dia Mirza says, "This man was a real Tiger! He would roar the word "Bachche"! Kind soul. Ace DOP. Ace Family man. Ace Friend. Ace Countryman #RIPAshokMehta."
With his demise, the Hindi film industry has lost a brilliant technician waho was equally good at the aesthetics.
