Ace filmmaker Ranjith who is heading the new generation boom in Mollywood is sparing no time to celebrate the Box Office success of his recent Mohanlal starrer 'Sprit'.

He has already started working on his new movie with the other Superstar of Mollywood, Mammootty. Titled 'Malabar', the movie has already invited big expectations as it is coming after the classic 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'. Mammootty appear in this movies as a car driver who lead a tension free life, meanwhile his boss played by Anoop Menon is all out into the fuzziness of life.

Ranjith just pens the script of the movie as G.S. Vijayan wields the megaphone, after a long time for this movie. Ranjith has already started the work of this movie produced by Mammootty's makeup-man George, in the banner of Sinsin Celluloid.
