Kushwaha was raided by the CBI on Wednesday.
The central investigating agency will be interrogating two former Director Generals of Health who were detained on Wednesday.
The CBI has raided a total of 60 places in UP, MP, Haryana and Delhi.
An embarrassed BJP, meanwhile, claimed the raids were a Congress-BSP plot.
Kushwaha had switched loyalties on Tuesday and moved to the BJP.
