Hillary campaigns while Obama goes home

CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Fresh from her win in Indiana, Hillary Clinton is already in West Virginia, campaigning for the next primary.

Hillary is going on despite the fact that some of her party members asking her to give up, and some super-delegates are switching support in favour of Obama.

Her rival Barack Obama took the lead in the race for the Democratic nomination after the two went head-to-head in two states on Tuesday. Hillary’s narrow win in Indiana was not enough to off-set Obama's huge victory in North Carolina.

The race now comes down to the super-delegates of the Democratic party. Obama is ahead of Hillary in the total number of delegates willing to back him. So, while she is still campaigning, he is home in Chicago and his strategists are already focusing on the Fall campaign.

“People are watching this contest – he wins, I win, he wins, I win,” she said. “I can assure you that at the end I will support the Democratic nominee, because we need to win in November.”

Hillary has also been hard-pressed for campaign funding and has had to give her campaign more than $6 million; a new e-mail from her has urgently asked for donations.
