Washington: President Barack Obama says the newly passed economic stimulus bill is a major milestone on the nation's road to economic recovery, but in his weekly address he also sounded a cautionary note, saying this is just the beginning of the process of turning the economy around.
Only three Republican lawmakers supported the bill as most Republicans believe the legislation does not have enough in the way of tax cuts and contains too much wasteful government spending.
Nevertheless, President Obama is on track to sign the legislation as early as Monday.
