Cairo: President Barack Obama is promoting stronger economic, educational and scientific ties with the Muslim world, saying change is inevitable and all must work together to improve people's lives everywhere.
As an example of this newfound partnership, the President announced in his Cairo University speech a joint effort with the Organisation of the Islamic Conference to eradicate polio.
Obama also said he is launching a new international fund "to support technological development in Muslim majority countries".
The President revealed that he will name science envoys to collaborate with Muslim counterparts and he will host a "Summit on Entrepreneurship" to explore ways to "deepen ties" among business leaders in the West and the Islamic world.
