BANGALORE: Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) opened a new branch at Chandra Layout and two new ATMs at HRBR Layout and Ram Murthy Nagar on Monday.
Executive Director of the bank V Kannada inaugurated the new facilities in the presence Director T Valliappan and Deputy General Manager and Regional Head S S Mallikarjuna Rao.
The bank’s regional ffice at Bangalore is controlling office for the bank’s branches in Karnataka and Kerala.
The region, headed by Rao, has 53 branches and 69 ATMs. The bank intends to open a number of branches and ATMs in this year.
A press release from the bank said it has been king new initiatives in the field of information technology with an increased focus on customer service and setting up new delivery channels.
The bank has deployed several electronic delivery channels such as ATMs, E-lobbies, internet banking including utility payments, SMS banking etc.
