Odisha: Private firm's CEO held with explosives

Malkangiri: Odisha Police on Sunday arrested CEO of a private company along with seven others for allegedly supplying explosives to Naxals. The men are employees of a Hyderabad-based infrastructure company and were carrying around 50 kilograms of explosives, Naxal literature and mobile phones.

The arrest was made by the police following an intelligence inputs.

The infrastructure company was involved in the developmental work in the Naxal affected areas of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

It is suspected that the company was supplying explosives in exchange for it being allowed to carry out the construction work smoothly.
