A natural beauty, multi-talented, professional singer and dancer, a well sought individual – meet the new face of Lakme, Amrit Maghera.

Two months in the city and this lady has her kitty full of runway shows with Marc Robinson, Alison Kanuga, faced the lens to shoot for renowned designer Neeta Lulla, editorials for the magazine Seventeen and few catalogues. An Indo – British model, actor, singer and dancer with a first class degree in drama and dance and formal training in acting from London.

This professional singer very recently signed a record deal with EMI, where she wrote and recorded her own album with girl band XSS. This album featured a single with American rapper ‘Coolio’, which was released in Europe, where they also completed a live tour together. Her band also did a supporting act for ‘Akon’ at the Hammersmith Palais in London.

Apart from melodious vocal chords, Amrit has been trained professionally in various styles of dance like ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, Bollywood and hip hop.

This talented actor has also done several stage shows (London Astoria, Birmingham NEC, and Wembley Arena) and on presented on MTV for international artists such as Kayne West, Guns and Roses and Body Rockers. She has acted in a music video for artist Omkar (scheduled for release End-July) and featured in few television commercials.

Her modeling assignments in London include print, runway and commercials for brands such as Miss Sixty, Satya Paul, Skechers, Nokia and Olay.

Amrit is now stationed in Mumbai, working as a model whilst attending Hindi and acting lessons – hoping to make it big someday in this land of dreams!
