New Delhi: Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily took the metro to the ministry on Wednesday. The minister took the Metro from a station near his residence and travelled to the Central Secretariat station, which is near Shastri Bhawan.

The Petroleum Minister latest action is said to be part of a fuel conservation drive.

In September, Moily had said that he and all officials in his ministry will travel by public transport every Wednesday beginning October 9.

"I will take a metro ride every Wednesday. I appeal to all ministers and PSUS to do it," Moily said before taking the metro.
