Air India introduces cheaper air fares

New Delhi: Airline companies have come up with attractive fares this summer. Air India has introduced up to 50 per cent cheaper fares. Low cost airline Spice Jet has also launched a special return fare.

Air India's special summer fares are half the price of normal fares. Available on 35 routes originating from Delhi and Mumbai, they will have to be booked in advance.

If booked 10 days in advance, the one way fare from Mumbai to Hyderabad is Rs 2,700 and Mumbai to Mangalore will cost Rs 2,500. The discounted fares are on till the June 30.

Budget carrier Spice Jet is also wooing the holiday crowd. It has promised passengers a Rs 500 saving per ticket. The offer is valid upto October 25.

And if one flying to Singapore this summer, the cheapest fare is just Rs 7,000 which is the cheapest so far.

Last week, Jet Airways and Kingfisher hiked fares by 8 per cent to tide over the rise in fuel prices.
