One arrested for triple murder

BALANGIR: The mystery behind the triple murder of widow and her two daughters was solved by the police on Saturday. One Jugeswar Meher of Malimunda has been detained, said Patnagarh SDPO Laxminarayan Panda.
A widow Diptimayee and her two daughters -- Pranati and Pratibha -- were found dead in their house in Basudevpada of Belpada block headquarter under Patnagarh sub-division on Friday.
Sources said the accused had a relationship with Pranati and they were caught together by Pratibha last month. Pratibha informed her mother and one of her brothers-in-law after which Pranati was warned against meeting Jugeswar, a married man. On Saturday last Jugeswar and Pranati met and planned to eliminate Diptimayee and Pratibha.
On Thursday night Pranati facilitated the entry of Jugeswar and he first killed her mother followed by Pratibha who woke up from sleep. After the murders when Jugeswar realised his crime and was sure that police would arrest him he decided to eliminate Pranati too.
