One more suicide attempt for Telangana

KARIMNAGAR: Dejected over delay in formation of Telangana state, yet another student attempted suicide at Palle Nizambad in Konaraopeta mandal on Tuesday night.
N Pallavi, who attempted self-immolation, is learnt to have sustained 70 per cent burns and her condition is said to be critical.
Pallavi, who wrote the second-year Intermediate examinations recently, doused herself with kerosene at her residence and set herself ablaze at around 7.30 pm. Her family members extinguished the fire and took her to the government hospital at Siricilla.
Her father Ravinder said Pallavi had been following TV news in the last couple of days and was frustrated over the uncertainty of a Telangana state. Policemen were deployed in strength in the village to quell any trouble from Telangana activists.
