Los Angeles: Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has been voted the world's highest paid celebrity after banking $165 million in the past year.
She has left behind directors Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg in a survey by Forbes magazine. The news comes just days after she was listed as the 11th most powerful woman in the world in another survey by the same publication.
Winfrey's annual earnings from May 2011 to May 2012 edged out filmmaker Bay, who scored second place with $160 million. Spielberg was at third with $130 million, while Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer was at fourth slot with $115 million and rap mogul Dr. Dre rounded up the top five with an earning of $110 million.
