She is followed by ace golfer Tiger Woods, who came in second with $115 million with Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie third on the new list with earning of $14 million.
Singer Beyonce Knowles is at the fourth spot with footballer David Beckham is at five.
Beckham, who plays for Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer, entered the list for the first time.
While Winfrey's $275 million fortune over the year helped put her on top, Internet presence, press clippings, magazine covers, TV and radio mentions are also part of the formula to decide who all makes on to the list.
The power list also holds a spot for actor Johnny Depp, rapster Jay-Z, music group The Police, author JK Rowling and actor Brad Pitt.
