Bhubaneshwar: The battle over Naxals is also being fought inside the Orissa Assembly too. MLAs of the ruling Biju Janata Dal-BJP alliance and opposition Congress got into a physical tussle in the Assembly over the Naxal issue.
On Tuesday, the Congress MLAs demanded a discussion on the issue but Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik refused to agree to a debate till the operation against the Naxals was completed.
He feared a discussion might bring down the moral of the security forces engaged in the battle against Naxals.
But the Opposition is accusing Patnaik of delaying discussions just to hide facts. The house was adjourned after the incident.
