New Delhi: The union cabinet will be meeting later on Wednesday and on the anvil are a number of important issues.
What is likley to dominate discussions in the cabinet meeting is the situation in Orissa. After the recent attacks on Christians in the state, a demand for the imposition of President's Rule in Orissa is likely to come up, even as Home Minister Shivraj Patil in all likelihood will oppose this demand.
Members of the cabinet will also be demanding a ban on Bajrang Dal with UPA partner Lalu Yadav asking for the same.
Another major issue on the cabinet's agenda is of course terror.
A discussion on new and improved terror laws will be discussed.
The Batla House encounter is also likely to find space in the cabinet meeting.
