Mumbai: While Delhi is all set to host the 10th Osian's Cinefan Film Festival to kickstart in July, there is some good news in store for Mumbai too. A curtain raiser will be held in the city on the June 13 and June 14 and cinebuffs will get to see 14 of the 140 films chosen for the festival.
Osian's Cinefan Joint Festival Director, Latika Padgaonkar says, "We wouldn't want to lose our Delhi audience, but we will surely bring the festival in a big way to Mumbai as well."
Apart from several world class films, the festival will also have interesting exhibitions of vintage Hindi novel covers and Shakespearean aquatints. And the organisers are keeping it a low-key affair without any celebrities.
Osian's Chairman, Neville Tuli says, "For us, the director and the film is important. The celebrity is just a part of the jigsaw."
The Mumbai edition of Osian's Cinefan Film Festival will close with the felicitation of Bollywood veteran actor, Shammi Kapoor, for his contribution to cinema along with a screening of his classic hit, Kashmir ki Kali.
