New Delhi; Notorious Dutch national Will Heum was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Thursday - the case is the first to be tried under the amended IT act.
Paedophile was Heum has been sentenced on three counts to a total of 25 years in prison. He has been charged under three sections including kidnapping children, unnatural offences and uploading pornographic content on the web.
Heum is a Dutch citizen who moved to Tamil Nadu in 1991. He was convicted of kidnapping children to sexually abuse them and posting child pornography on the internet.
He was arrested in November 2009 from his residence in Chennai after a tip off from the Interpol.
Police had recovered several pornographic CD's from his house at the time of arrest.
