New Delhi: The semi-final appearance at last week's Masters Cup saw Leander Paes gain a spot to be 12th in the ATP doubles rankings, while Sania Mirza also jumped one rung to 31st in the WTA singles chart released on Monday.
Paes now tallies 2870 points after he along with his Czech partner Martin Damm shrugged off their indifferent form to make the semis of the prestigious tournament in Shanghai last week.
The tournament was their last event together.
Paes' former partner Mahesh Bhupathi, meanwhile, clung to his 21st position with 2210 points.
In the WTA list, Sania, who is out of action due to a stomach injury, has 921 points.
Belgian Justine Henin continues to lead the pack with 6155 points, followed by Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova (3725).
The Serbian duo of Jelena Jankovic (3475) and Ana Ivanovic (3461) occupy the third and fourth position with Russian Maria Sharapova (2956) at the fifth spot.
