New Delhi: India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy lost their first match against Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach in Group B at the ATP World Tour Finals' doubles event in London.

The fourth seeded pair were handed a straight sets defeat by the sixth seeded Polish-Austrian duo 6-3, 7-6 (7-3).

Following the loss Paes and Dlouhy's chances of entering the knockout stage of the event suffered a big jolt.

The Indo-Czech pair now face second seeds Bob and Mike Bryan of the Unites States of America.

Bryan brothers also lost their opening match in straight sets to seventh seeds Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram. Mirnyi and Ram won the match 4-6, 4-6.
