New Delhi: The hearing on the case has been postponed till the April 18. The acting Chief Justice of Pakistan Rana Bagwan Das will hear the case.

Thousands of political activists and lawyers are boycotting court proceedings and holding protest rallies to express solidarity with Chaudhary.

Tight security arrangements have been made in Islamabad before the hearing.

Thousands of political activists and lawyers rallied in support of Pakistan's chief justice on Friday as he attended a hearing into allegations put forward by President Gen Pervez Musharraf to suspend him.

Earlier addressing a public meeting in Sialkot, President Musharraf has said he would reveal all facts to the nation behind the judicial crisis, after a panel of judges hearing the case gives its verdict on Friday.

Musharraf further said he did nothing wrong and that he is a great supporter of an independent judiciary.

On the other hand, lawyers defending suspended Pakistan Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar M Chaudhry have said that the Aziz government may have to "face action" if Musharraf decides to withdraw the allegations against Chaudhry and restore his post.
