New Delhi: The Pakistani hand in Mumbai terror attack is clear and India is talking tough with the neighbour now.

External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukharjee in an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN's Chief Diplomatic Correspondent Paarull didn't rule out military action against Pakistan.

Mukherjee said India expected Pakistan to take action against terrorist groups based on the information provided by New Delhi.

Mukherjee on Pakistan Government must act

Mere setting up of a mechanism is not adequate. What we expect from Pakistan is the commitments which they have made, we would expect them to fulfil those commitments that Pakistan's territories will not be allowed to be used by the terrorists against India.

I would like to believe President Asif Ali Zardari. I have no reason to disbelieve him but what I want and repeatedly we have pointed out that element in Pakistan and operations are planned in Pakistan. Even during the terrorist attack, the satellite phone which we recovered from the boat clearly indicate that somebody from Pakistan, the numbers have been recorded in the phone and later on revealed, clearly indicate that he was controlling and he was giving directions how the attackers and terrorists should act.

Therefore these elements are very much present in Pakistan. What we expect the Pakistan government is to take action against them. Those fugitives of Indian law who are in Pakistan, we expect them to catch hold of them and hand over to us.

Information shared

Whatever information we have received up to now that has been shared with them and we have pointed out that elements in Pakistan are responsible. If elements in Pakistan are responsible, then it is the responsibility of the Pakistan government to take action against those elements.

Atmosphere vitiated

Of course the atmosphere has been vitiated. Can't you see the outrage of the Indian people? Am I to explain it? Every Indian feels hurt, feels injured. Is it a conducive atmosphere?

Action will be visible

I am not spelling out anything right now. As and when action will be taken, it will be visible to the people.

No proposal to send cricket team

There is no proposal of sending the team right now. As and when decision will be taken, you will come to know.

Earlier on Tuesday, the ISI chief had briefed Pakistan's Parliamentary Committee on the likely fallout of the Mumbai terror attacks.
