Ahmedabad: About 1,000 odd management students from across the world are participating in Confluence 2007, the IIM-Ahmedabad B-School meet.
The participants also include students of Lahore University of Management Sciences. The students say that they feel at home.
"It’s been nice and hospitable so far. IIM is a premiere institution too,” says an LUMS student, Saiyyed Babar Ali.
"People here are very friendly. Its been amazing and wonderful so far,” says another LUMS student, Heena.
The students, who have been protesting the emergency in Pakistan, say they hope democracy will be restored soon.
"The situation there is aggrieved, but students are protesting and hopefully, democracy will be resolved soon,” says Saiyyed.
And it's not just studies on their minds, Bollywood too gets their attention. But the visitors are clearly not impressed with Om Shanti Om.
"Yesterday's movie was a disappointment. Shah Rukh Khan is now getting old,” says Heena.
B-Schools from across Asia, the Americas, Australia and Europe are taking part in Confluence 2007. The meet will end on Sunday.
