Indo-Nepal border: The security forces at the Indo-Nepal border are struggling to stem the inflow of fake currency into India from Nepal.

The Pakistani nationals, who were recently arrested near the border, have reportedly revealed that the ISI is increasingly using the Nepal border to flood India with Pakistan-made Indian fake currency.

They have also reportedly confessed that these fake notes are printed in Pakistani government-owned printing press and top ranking ISI operatives ensure they are smuggled through Nepal.

“He confessed during the interrogation that government-owned printing press is used in printing fake Indian currency,” says DIG SSB, Sharavan Kumar.

CNN IBN has the copy of an intelligence report which details the modus operandi of the racket.

There are also reports that it is not just the Indian currency which is duplicated but many other nation’s currencies are also duplicated by the racket.

Experts say the fake currency can injure the growth of Indian economy and therefore immediate actions need to be taken to stop their smuggle.
