Peshawar: A senior police officer and his driver were gunned down by suspected terrorists in the restive Peshawar city of northwest Pakistan on Monday, officials said. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Amanullah Khan and his driver were killed in an attack in Dalazak area.
Khan was being driven from his home to his office. The bodies of the two men were taken to a nearby hospital. The killers escaped after the attack.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack though such incidents are usually blamed on the Taliban.
