New Delhi: Aamir Khan's new TV show 'Satyamev Jayate' has managed to fetch accolades from all quarters of the society, but singer-composer Palash Sen of the band Euphoria is not happy about it.
Palash Sen has accused the music composer of the title track of 'Satyamev Jayate' of stealing tunes from one of his songs. Coincidentally, Palash Sen's song is also called 'Satyamev Jayate'. Sen has filed a case against Ram Sampath, music director for the 'Satyamev Jayate' title track,
Sen said that Ram Sampath has lifted his tune to use as the chorus of 'Satyamev Jayate' song. The concerned song is from the album 'Phir Dhoom'.
Aamir Khan's show has received praise from Bollywood celebrities also.
Equipped with well-researched instances and case studies on female foeticide, Aamir's one-and-a-half hour programme was simultaneously telecast on Star Plus and Doordarshan.
'Satyamev Jayate' didn't show anything new but the actor's persona and straight portrayal of the facts made it a hard hitting show to a good extent.
Palash Sen says he didn't file any case before the telecast of 'Satyamev Jayate' because he hadn't seen the video of the song. As per Sen, the similarities between his song and the tune used in the chorus of 'Satyamev Jayate' are striking.
