The director of Aamir Khan's new TV show, 'Satyamev Jayate' on Monday rubbished claims by singer Palash Sen that the title track of the show was lifted from one of his songs.
Speaking to IBN18 Deputy Editor Sagarika Ghose on Face The Nation, director Satyajeet Bhatkal said that Palash Sen's notice to the show was not worth a reply.
Below is an edited transcript of the interview:
Sagarika Ghose: Palash Sen of Euphoria has sent a legal notice to you for copying the anthem of 'Satyamev Jayate' from an old Euphoria track of 2000, entitled 'Phir Dhoom'. What is your reaction to this?
Satyajeet Bhatkal: This is rubbish... There is nothing in common at all and doesn't deserve even a dignity of a reply.. The lawyers are taking care of it.
Sagarika Ghose: You wouldn't like to comment any further on that particular controversy?
Satyajeet Bhatkal: Anybody who hears it knows that it is complete rubbish. There's absolutely nothing in common between the two tracks. It doesn't deserve a reply... It's complete rubbish.
