New Delhi: It's music composer RD Burman's 69th birth anniversary on Friday. Panchamda, as he is popularly known, was one of Bollywood's best-loved and most versatile musicians.
Winner of three Filmfare awards, Burman is known for his hit soundtracks of films like Masoom, Ijaazat, Padosan, Amar Prem, Aandhi and more recently 1942: A Love Story.
Panchamda composed music for more than 300 films in his career spanning over five decades.
RD Burman completely revolutionised Hindi music and his style and techniques continue to be followed by the composers till date.
