London: Italian food like pasta and pizza are now the world's favourite, according to an international survey.
Researchers quizzed travellers across the globe and found pizza and pasta are preferred to French cuisine, reports express.co.uk.
Italian food scored 21 percent, with French at 12 percent and Thai at 11 percent.
Britain failed to make the grade with its national stalwarts fish and chips, steak and kidney pie and roast beef, polling so few votes it did not make the top 20.
Russian food was declared the world's worst, trailing with no votes in the poll of more than 2,500 travellers, carried out by Hotels.com.
