Patna: 50-year-old constable arrested for molesting girl child

Patna: A police constable was arrested and sent to jail on Saturday on charge of molesting a five-year-old girl near Birla Mandir in Patna.

The 50-year-old constable, who is posted at Pirbahor police station, was caught red-handed by the local people while molesting the girl and handed over to the police, the Superintendent of Police, City, Jayant Kant said.

The constable has also been suspended by the police authorities, Kant said adding investigation into the case was on.
