Patna: First Mumbai, then Kochi and now Patna. It seems that a lot of big cities saw a lot of unpleasant behaviour towards women.
After cases of molestation and heckling were reported from Mumbai and Kochi, news came in that female students at a medical college hostel in Patna were ill-treated by some unruly boys of the same institute.
The incident took place at the Nalanda Medical College hostel, when about 15 male students tried to barge into the girls hostel in a drunken state.
They tried to force the girls to dance and join them in the new year bash in the boys hostel.
The terrorised girls declined and locked themselves inside the hostel and raised an alarm.
The desperate boys ransacked the waiting lounge, damaged furniture and broke windows. No case has been registered so far.
The college administration has ordered an internal enquiry into this matter.
