Patna: A minor girl was allegedly gangraped in the city by five school students over a month ago and obscene CDs and MMS of the crime were circulated, according to an FIR lodged by Bihar Women's Commission.
Commission member Chandramukhi Devi said on Wednesday that the alleged incident took place at Rajvanshi Nagar in Patna on June 14 and came to light on Tuesday in a news report.
The commission took suo moto cognisance of the report and she herself took down the victim's statement on Tuesday, Chandramukhi Devi said.

The minor girl was raped by five students over a month ago and obscene CDs and MMS of the crime were circulated.
Director General of Police Abhayanand was informed of it and the FIR was registered by the commission in the women police station in Patna on Tuesday.
Bihar police have started investigation into it, city superintendent of police Jayant Kant said adding a case under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act was lodged with the women police station.
