After weeks of speculation, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finally arrived in Pune on Thursday afternoon. Pitt and Jolie are in the city to shoot A Mighty Heart, a film on the life of journalist Daniel Pearl.

A Mighty Heart, produced by Pitt's production house, is based on the book of the same title by Daniel's wife, Mariane Pearl. Daniel, a Wall Street Journal reporter, was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002 while researching a story on Islamic militancy. The couple is reportedly scheduled to start shooting scenes on Monday.

The couple was spotted stepping out of their hotel on Friday afternoon and heading to an unknown destination. Many members of the press, both, national and international, were parked outside the hotel ever since the celeb couple arrived.

A day after Jolie and Pitt were spotted outside their hotel, Dan Futterman, the leading actor of the film A Mighty Heart, reached Pune on Saturday. Dan is an American TV star and interestingly also wrote the screenplay of the film Capote starring Oscar winner Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Like the star couple, Dan was also thronged by the media at the hotel where Jolie and Pitt are staying.

The Hollywood couple’s visit took an ugly turn on Saturday when a scuffle between a reporter and a bodyguard occurred outside the hotel where Pitt and Jolie were staying. The reporter from a UK press agency, Sam Replh, was held by the neck and verbally abused by the celebrity couple's bodyguard.
The incident occured as the media collected to take pictures of people who were to enter a car parked at the entrance of Le Meridien. Hotel authorities have refused to comment on the incident calling it a 'fight between two guests'.
