THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM state conference which concluded here on Friday unanimously elected the 84-member state committee and re-elected Pinarayi Vijayan as state secretary for a fourth consecutive term. Six members opted out citing health reasons.They are Mamakutty, P R Rajan, C O Paulose (Thrissur), M Kelappan (Kozhikode) and Sarojani Balanandan and Gopi Kottamurikkal. Twelve new members were inducted to the new committee, including four new district secretaries.
The new members are T V Rajesh, James Mathew, P P Vasudevan, C K Rajendran, A C Moitheen, A Pradeep Kumar, N R Balan, C N Mohanan, K P Mary, P K Biju, C B Chandrababu and Koliyakkodu Krishnan Nair.

A five-member control commission was also unanimously elected. T Krishnan is the chairman of the control commission. Other members of the commission are E Kazim, M T Joseph, M M Varghese and Girija Surendran. 175 delegates for the 20th party congress to be held in Kozhikode in April were also elected.
