Mumbai: A State Reserved Police Force (SRPF) Head Constable, Gulab Rao Savle and his wife Chitra were found murdered in their Goregaon apartment on Tuesday night.
The couple's 6 year daughter says she saw her uncle Aba Savle kill her parents.
The constable had borrowed 15, 000 rupees from Aba but was unable to repay the loan.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mumbai Police Ajit Patil said, "Gulab's cousin brother Aba Salve had come here. They had a dispute over a sum of Rs 15,000 which Salve had lent Gulab and Salve murdered the both. Investigations are on to determine any accomplice involvement."
The Savles have three daughters aged 5, 6 and 9.
The youngest was locked up in the bathroom when the murders took place.
The child has been admitted to a local hospital for treatment for shock and minor injuries.
Aba is said to be absconding.
