Click to play videoBhopal: The police forcibly took the son of slain professor HS Sabharwal, Himanshu Sabharwal, to a hospital in Bhopal on Friday.
Police officials said that they took Himanshu to the hospital for medical check up.
Himanshu was on a fast-unto-death for the last four days demanding that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) take up his father's murder case.
He had also demanded that a DNA test be conducted to ascertain whether the heart sent by police for examination was that of his father.
He had also filed a plea with the Supreme Court, seeking a CBI probe in the case and for the transfer of the ongoing case to the Delhi High Court.
However, On March 12, a Supreme Court bench of Justice Arijit Pasayat and Justice P Sathasivam had transferred Prof Sabharwal's murder case trial from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh to Nagpur in neighbouring Maharashtra.
But Himanshu wanted the CBI to investigate his father’s case.
Professor Sabharwal's died in Ujjain in August 2006 following an attack by alleged Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists during college elections.
Earlier, the junior Sabharwal had demanded a CBI probe and a DNA test be conducted to ascertain whether the heart sent by police for examination was that of his father.
