Police picks up Prof Sabharwal’s son

Bhopal: Even though the Supreme Court shifted professor H S Sabharwal murder case trial from Bhopal to Nagpur, Himanshu is not satisfied.

He has been on fast unto death demanding a CBI enquiry into his fathers death. Minutes before he was picked up by the police this was what Himanshu said.

Himanshu said, “When there are just two witnesses left how would the case pick up. There is nothing left. It is a contradictory judgment and I have no other option but to continue with my fast on to death."

The police forcefully took him to hospital for a medical check up. The Madhya Pradesh government says it is not possible to oblige his demand.

MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “The Supreme Court has shifted the trial to Nagpur. We respect the Supreme Court and there is no other possibility but to honour what the Supreme Court has said."

The trial in Nagpur will commence from the stage at which it was when the order of stay was passed by the Supreme Court in July 2007.

The trial is almost complete and there are just two more witnesses to be examined.

And till now not even a single witness has corroborated the case put up by the state CID.

Evidently Himanshu Sabharwal sees nothing going in his favour.
